A presentation of the French Creole Heritage of Southwest Louisisana, a rich culture preserved and celebrated through music, food, dance and language. Presented by the Alliance Française de Denver and the Colorado Friends of Cajun and Zydeco Music and Dance, funded by the SCFD.

Ed Poullard

Ed is one of the few remaining Creole fiddle players carrying on the tradition of legendary Canray Fontenot. He actively performs and presents his music at festivals throughout the country.

Evening Creole Gumbo Dinner at the Alliance Française (6-7pm) followed by Songs and Stories with Preston Frank and Ed Poullard (7-9 pm) $12 / $15

Preston Frank

Preston is one of the last of the older Creole style of accordion players. He makes real Creole music from the small rural community of Soileau, Louisiana and is an important force in preserving traditional Creole French music.
