All Eyes on Denver

August 25-29, 2008 - All eyes turned to Denver as the city hosted the Democratic National Convention. The city was filled with delegates, protestors, celebrities, dignitaries, and news media from around the world. The world watched as President-Elect Barak Obama was selected by the Democratic Party as their representative.

The Alliance Française de Denver sponsored a photographic workshop conducted by photographer Jon Yamamoto during the DNC, with additional support from Leica Camera, Inc., and Englewood Camera., and special thanks to Brent Tongco with The City of Denver. From August 26th through the 29th participants documented the public events surrounding the selection of Barak Obama during the DNC 2008.

During January 2009, you are invited to see some of the photographs that Laura Blake, Karen Kirkpatrick, Ellie Ludvigsen, and Jon Yamamoto captured from this historic event.
