Jean-François Duclos, Executive Director
Born in Northern France, I lived there for more than twenty years before being bitten, I believe definitively, by the travel bug and the aspiration to live overseas. In the continuation of my studies I lived and worked in the United States, Jordan, Romania and France, before going to Australia for 4 years in order to manage the Alliance Française in Adelaide. I am now back in the United States. I have been a university lecturer, a book seller, the director of the French Department in an International School in New York, and a teacher in French schools. I love reading and biking, amongst other things.

Jennifer Conder, Office Manager
My name is Jennifer, and I have been with the Alliance Française since May 2006. I am a native of Colorado, born and raised in Littleton, and schooled in English Literature and French at Colorado College. I spent three years after college in Québec, Canada, studying, working and trying to improve my French. Upon return to the States I worked in independent bookselling for many years before becoming the office manager at the Alliance Française.

Lindsay Essex, Gallery Coordinator
Je m’appelle Lindsay, and I am working with the art gallery space at the Alliance Française. I am originally Canadian, but went to high school here in Denver. I majored in French and fine art in college, and studied in Nantes, France. I also lived and taught English in Rennes, France. I currently work part-time at Denver International School, and the rest of my time is devoted to being a photographer. I am very excited to be promoting French and Francophone culture with the great people at the Alliance!

Vanessa Rey, Marketing & Outreach Coordinator
Bonjour, my name is Vanessa and I am the marketing and outreach coordinator for the Alliance Française. I was born in France and will be here in the U.S. until July 2008. When I return I will finish my Master’s in marketing with a minor in communications from a French Business School (INSEEC) in Bordeaux. I have carried out various internships in marketing and communications in France prior to coming here. My first experience in the United States was in September 2005, as I spent a month in Napa Valley, California. I just began working for the Alliance Française in September 2007 to carry out a 10 month mission. I am definitely excited to have the opportunity to promote the French culture which means a lot to me.
