L’Alliance Française de Denver – Scholarships 2017


Each year, the Alliance Française de Denver is offering scholarships to give access to French studies to the Denver and Colorado communities.


Three ‘project’ scholarships for a total amount of $3000 (*) within these three categories:

  • A student (High School or University)
  • A French teacher or professor of French language in Colorado
  • An individual or organization proposing a cultural or artistic project.

These scholarships are to be used on a project to be carried out during 2017.  After completing their work the recipients of the scholarships will be required to share their experiences with AF members during 2016-2017 in a presentation or seminar or in some other form appropriate for their project.


(*) The Alliance Francaise de Denver reserves the right to grant the scholarships to the most deserving projects in an amount appropriate to the work to be performed. 


Seven ‘class’ scholarships for a total amount of $2800 granted to applicants in need of financial aid:

These scholarships are to be used toward AF classes taken in 2017.



One ‘school’ scholarship for a total amount of $1000 :

10 hours of French introductory classes will be provided to a School in the Denver/Boulder area that would like to implement a new French program but lacks the funds to do so. Classes are to be carried out during 2017.

  • Applications will be available starting Monday, January 4, 2017.
  • The deadline to submit your application is Monday, March 10, 2017 by 5pm.
  • Recipients will be notified on Monday, March 24, 2017.
