In this class for total beginners, students will learn the basics of French language. Starting with letters, basic sounds, and numbers, students will progress to simple phrases required for communication in French.

After this class, students can go confidently into A1.1 to continue their language-learning journey!

There is no textbook required for this class.
Pace: 1.5 over 6 weeks

This course is designed for students planning on taking the December 2024 DELF/DALF exams. In this class, students will review the writing tasks for the B1, B2, and C1 DELF exams. Students will practice short and long forms of the tasks, and get feedback in preparation for the exam.

This is not a grammar class, but grammar topics may be discussed if the instructor notices a need across students.

Each week will cover a different castle, and students will learn about and discuss their architecture, strategic geographic location, history, Kings and Queens, among other topics.  This course is designed for students at the intermediate to advanced level of French (B2 and above). It will be taught entirely in French!
