Native French speaker, certified AP and ECE instructor
This NEW course, led by a native speaker is designed for students currently registered to take their High School, AP French exam and who wish to improve their fluency, oral presentational and interpersonal writing and reading skills. They will interact weekly in a small, engaging class utilizing in class forums to compare francophone cultures and to expand their thematic vocabulary.
The first Session will complete 1-3 of the major French AP themes and subthemes related to : World Challenges, Science and Technology and Contemporary Life.
The second session will complete 4-6 Search for Identity, Family and Community and Esthetic. Students will acquire valuable tips and tricks to arm themselves with AP test taking strategies to succeed on their AP exam. Reading with multiple questions will be assigned for homework as well as short writing assignment such as responding to emails.
A sample mini AP exam will be administered at the end of the course.
Instructor will provide authentic material, vocabulary lists, proofreading worksheets, grammar review summary, audio texts and custom review sheet tailored to each student in the class based on their writing performance. Students will be encouraged to consult with their Teacher on areas of reinforcement they wish to focus on during the class.
