Members-Only French Cooking Class

The Alliance Française de Denver invites members to a French cooking class led by Katrina Brink of The Empowered Kitchen. Hosted in the home of one of our members, this intimate class is limited to 12 people. We will make an après-ski  menu together on a cold winter's night! Get cozy with friends from the Alliance Française and learn to make some delightful French Alpine dishes. Wine served with menu.   


French Alpine Menu:

  • Tartare de Poisson 
  • Tartines de Chèvre, Noix et Miel
  • Salade d'Hiver à la Française
  • Soupe de Courge d'Hiver
  • Tartiflette 
  • Gâteau de Savoie avec de la Compote aux Oranges Sanguines

Katrina Brink is the owner of The Empowered Kitchen, where she offers cooking classes to transform your life in the kitchen. She teaches you how to meal prep, so you can cook one day a week and have delicious, healthy, gourmet food ready for your whole work week! Katrina gives you the skills to become a great home cook, so you can take whole ingredients and make fabulous meals. You'll save time in the kitchen, spend less on food from eating out and buying packaged foods, and you'll reduce your food waste!  A will for your wallet, and our planet! She also offers healthy grocery store tours to teach you how to stock your pantry, understand food labels and be more efficient with stocking your kitchen, so you can take fewer trips to the grocery store. Katrina has been in the sustainable food movement for the last 14 years, and has taught cooking classes over the last five. Her MS is in Agriculture, Food and Environment from Tufts University's Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She has found her calling, and is so excited to take you on a cooking journey around the world, so you can make a lifetime of wonderful memories with loved ones in the kitchen. 

*Registered guests will be given the address for the event and directions one week before the class. For the privacy of our hosts we will only share this with those who have paid in full. Please note that cancellations must be made one week in advance to receive a full refund. RSVP deadline is Monday February 25th by 5:00pm.

Alliance Française de Denver created a wonderful virtual environment where I spent my Summer vacation; visiting the winemaking area of Bouzy; celebrating Bastille Day; learning how to cook with flowers; touring historic châteaux and beautiful villages; all in the safety and comfort of my home.

A real treat for any Francophone person; especially having a daily place for French chat to try out and maintain colloquial skills.
