French Classes for Children

Toddlers discover French through songs, games, and crafts in a fun, hands-on class focused on listening, speaking, and play—all en français! 

Please be advised that it is required for at least one adult per enrolled child to be present for these lessons. Parent or guardian presence helps us to ensure that students of this age group have their needs met during class. 

French as a foreign language classes are available for children who do not have experience with French already. We offer FLE Beginner courses for complete beginners of all age groups, as well as FLE Jeunes or Enfants courses that are available to beginner students who are in the upper-beginner level. 

French as a second language classes are our most advanced level, and are perfect for children who have already had significant prior exposure to French. This class boosts speaking confidence and literacy skills through songs, crafts, and games. Designed for heritage speakers or those with immersion experience, students should be able to follow instructions and understand spoken French.  

Our Francophone courses are considered to be at an intermediate level. They are offered for children who have not necessarily grown up in a French-speaking environment but have had prior exposure and are prepared for more advanced lessons. This course is a great option for young learners who attend an immersion school or have already taken several French courses. 

While we are not currently offering an AP prep course, the Alliance Française plans to add this to our curriculum in Spring 2027. Check back in for more details soon!  

This comprehensive course is designed for high school students ages 15-18 seeking to strengthen their French proficiency and maximize their exam performance. Throughout the course, students will strengthen skills at an advanced level, practice the 6 AP themes, learn effective test-taking strategies, and complete timed practice activities.  

Our camps provide a fun, immersive environment where children can discover the French language through play, creativity, and cultural exploration. Whether your child is new to French or already has some exposure, our experienced instructors will guide them through engaging activities tailored to their age group.
