• Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs and curricula. 
• Develop and manage class schedules, including in-person and Zoom sessions.
• Manage classroom schedules. 
• Coordinate closely with Reception to anticipate new program needs and post scheduled classes on Oncord. 
• Ensure class descriptions accurately reflect course content for each session. 
• Align all programs with industry standards, educational best practices, and the organization’s mission. 
• Anticipate upcoming sessions and proactively recruit both current and new instructors. 
• Contribute to the recruitment and selection of new teachers. 
• Conduct interviews for prospective instructors. 
• Oversee the onboarding, training, and formation of new teachers.
• Collaborate with Reception to send class session confirmations to students and instructors. 
• Recruit other French teachers to join the Alliance team. 

• Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to instructors and educators. 
• Serve as a primary point of contact for students and teachers regarding academic matters. (may have calls between 5:30 – 6:30 pm) 
• Address student inquiries and offer guidance on program options and placement. 
• Organize academic meetings, once per session.
• Communicate training opportunities and instructional resources to teaching staff.
• Manage instructor replacements and maintain replacement calendars as well as be available for instructor replacements if needed.
• Create and Maintain Folders for Teachers’ Preparation of Classes 
• Ensure clear communication of administrative and academic policies in collaboration with the Office Manager (OM) and Executive Director (ED). 
• Facilitate efficient communication between teaching staff and administrative teams. 
• Coordinate with the OM to ensure instructors have access to required textbooks and teaching resources for each session. 
• Review placement tests as needed and assist new students in determining their appropriate level. 
• Maintain and update the online teacher resource page. 
• Manage microsoft and oncord accounts for teachers. Help teachers if they have issues with those if needed.

• Collaborate with Test Center Coordinator to administer TCF and DELF exam sessions. 
• Help proctor/grade TCF/DELF exams  
• Serve as a liaison with the Institut Français for all TCF and DELF-related matters. 

• Participate in weekly staff meetings. 
• Provide detailed annual reviews of instructional staff. 
• Provide programmatic andoperational support to the Office Manager, Reception, and Executive Director. 

• Promote educational programs throughout the Denver metropolitan area.   Develop relationships with schools, universities, libraries, recreation centers, senior centers, and community organizations.  
• Represent the Alliance Française de Denver at educational and community events.  
• Identify opportunities to expand French language programming within the community.  
• Support outreach initiatives designed to increase enrollment and awareness of educational programs and testing services.  
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on educational partnerships and strategic growth opportunities.  
• Visit 2–4 schools per semester.   
• Develop partnerships with at least 5 community organizations annually.   
• Present French programming at local libraries, recreation centers, or senior centers. 

• Bachelor's degree in French, Education, Linguistics, International Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.  
• Advanced proficiency in French and English (minimum CEFR C1 level in French preferred; native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in language instruction, educational administration, program coordination, or a related field.  
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Zoom, and online learning platforms.  
• Experience working with student information systems, databases, scheduling software, or customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teachers, students, volunteers, and administrative staff.  
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to creating a welcoming learning environment.

30 hours/week with 6 hours of teaching and 24 hours of coordination. Compensation to be discussed. * Hours are subject to change, pending board approval.

The French Children’s Instructor will teach group classes for children (ages 2–15, depending on assignment) using interactive, communicative methods. Classes emphasize speaking, listening, cultural discovery, music, movement, storytelling, and games in a warm and supportive environment.

Classes typically meet once or twice per week in the late afternoon or on Saturdays. Flexible scheduling based on enrollment. 

The expected rate for this position is $30/hour.

The part-time French teacher will teach private and/or group classes at our Denver locations. They will teach according to the Alliance Française guidelines and pedagogical principles, which are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They will promote the core values and mission of the Alliance Française.

• Near-native or native French speaker  
• Master in FSL / FLE or DAEFLE preferred
• Experience in teaching French language
• Proof or eligibility to work in the United States (i.e, work permit, work visa, or green card)
• 1+ year experience living in a French-speaking country preferred
• Availability to teach evening classes (6:00PM-8:30PM) and Saturday classes (9:30AM-12:00PM) preferred
