The Birth of Impressionism

Monet is coming to town, and we plan to talk about it. Join us for this three-part art talk series on Monet and the Impressionist movement. First up in October is "Café des Arts: The Birth of Impressionism" where local Franco-American artist Fred Pichon will walk us through the beginning of this popular art movement from the 19th century.  

The impressionist movement was born from a connection of extraordinary times and people. We look at how a mix of technology, exceptional individuals, and the spirit of times, led to a re-invention of what art means.
