About the Club

This book club is for fluent and native French speakers who simply love reading and talking about French books! We welcome all fluent French speakers in the Alliance Française de Denver community who enjoy diving into French and Francophone literature. Whether you are a lifelong bookworm or rediscovering your love for French books, your perspective is what makes our conversations so special. THIS IS NOT A FRENCH CLASS.

• Discovering a mix of French and Francophone authors — from contemporary favorites to classics
• Connecting with fellow passionate readers and building a wonderful community within the Alliance Française de Denver
• Creating a relaxed and welcoming space where fluent speakers can truly enjoy the French language together

How it works

Each month, one of our members picks a book and leads the conversation. We encourage everyone to read the book beforehand, but if you're new, come join us for a first meeting just to get a feel for the group and see if it's the right fit for you!

December is our favorite night of the year! We open the doors wider, celebrate the year together, and members get to propose a book they've read and loved to be considered for the following year's list. It's a fun, festive evening full of great suggestions and good company — everyone is welcome!
