AP Prep Course Ages 15-18
AP French Language & Culture Preparation
Saturdays | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, September 26-December 12 (no class the week of Thanksgiving)
Prepare for success on the AP French Language & Culture Exam with this comprehensive course designed for high school students seeking to strengthen their French proficiency and maximize their exam performance.
Led by an experienced instructor who has taught AP French for over 15 years, this class provides targeted preparation for every component of the AP exam while building confidence in real-world communication. Students will develop the advanced language skills necessary to excel in interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational communication through engaging discussions, authentic texts, audio and video resources, cultural exploration, and regular practice with AP-style assessments.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills at the advanced level.
- Practice the six AP themes through authentic Francophone materials.
- Learn effective strategies for the multiple-choice and free-response sections of the AP exam.
- Complete timed practice activities, including persuasive essays, email replies, conversation simulations, and cultural comparisons.
- Receive individualized feedback to improve fluency, accuracy, and confidence.
This course is ideal for students currently enrolled in AP French, planning to take AP French Language & Culture, or seeking advanced preparation before the exam.
Prerequisite: Students should have completed the equivalent of French IV or demonstrate an advanced-intermediate level of proficiency (approximately CEFR B1+/B2).
Schedule: Saturdays, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

FLE Adolescent Ages 11-15
This in‑person class is designed for children ages 11-15 who have some basic prior exposure to French. The focus is on building foundational
conversational skills
through interactive activities. By the end of the course, students will be able to introduce themselves and talk about familiar topics
using simple, practical language.
IMPORTANT: As we are nearing the end of the academic year, new students with no previous French experience cannot
be accepted at this time.

This class is taught by Marion Hannachi for FLE (French as a Foreign Language) pre teens/adolescents, ages 11-15.
Pace: 1 hour over 10 weeks
FLE Beginner ages 5 to 7
This course is a beginner FLE (French as a foreign language class for ages 5 to 7. This class is for those who have no prior French
knowledge. The class is taught by Crystal Chase.
FLE Beginner ages 8 to 12
This class is a beginner FLE (french as a foreign language class for ages 8 to 12. This course is for those who do not have any prior French knowledge. The course is taught by Crystal Chase.
Pace: 1 hour over 10 weeks
FLE Jeunes ages 7-10
This in‑person class is designed for children ages 7–10 who have some basic prior exposure to French. The focus is on building foundational

Intermediate - ages 5-7 CONFIRMED
A 5-7 year-old class for children with previous exposure to French, through a school immersion program or if they are exposed to French
through a parent. Through songs, crafts, and games, heritage speakers will gain confidence in speaking and pride in their French
abilities. Students should have some ability to read (in English or French) for this class.
IMPORTANT: Because we are at the end of our academic year, new students will not be accepted unless they have some existing
experience with the language. If you are interested and are new to the Kids Program, please contact our Front Desk to discuss your child's
participation.
Pace: 1 hour over 8 weeks
Les Cocos - ages 2.5-4
Accompanied by their parents or caregivers, your toddlers get exposure to the French language through nursery rhymes, games, crafts, and
flash cards. Each class is structured around a beginning routine, a theme of the day with its pertaining vocabulary, and a closing routine.
The class opens with a traditional French song, where everyone sings. For the theme of the day, the Cocos are encouraged to recognize colors
and sounds. They learn vocabulary while moving around the room, touching images, posters, or participating in simple craft-projects. This
class emphasizes on oral comprehension, tactile experience, and some verbal expression—all in French!
This class is appropriate for children ages 2.5-4 years old.

For Kids with Prior Exposure
This class is designed for children age 6-7 who already have some exposure to French—whether through a school immersion program or a
French‑speaking parent at home. Through songs, crafts, stories, and interactive games, young heritage speakers will
strengthen their oral skills, build confidence, and take pride in their French abilities.
The class supports early literacy as well, so students should have a basic ability to read (in English or French) to fully
benefit from the activities.
A joyful and supportive environment helps children expand vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and feel more connected to the French language
and culture.
