Paris, 1887. We are thrilled to welcome Nathan Anderson, Head Coach and owner of Denver Fencing Center, who will offer a brief introduction to fencing before the film!
Nathan began fencing at age 15 and has remained deeply involved in the sport ever since. He served on USA Fencing’s Board of Directors from 2013 to 2015.
An accomplished multi-weapon athlete, Nathan holds an A rating in both epee and foil and previously earned a C rating in sabre.
Over the course of his career, Nathan has won more than 30 national medals, including eight national gold medals. He is a two-time National Champion, an NCAA All-American, and a member of two NCAA medal-winning teams while fencing for the University of Pennsylvania, where he captained the team during his senior year. His international achievements include winning the 2014 Pan American Championship and earning a place on the 2023 World Team.
Nathan has also captained the U.S. Veteran Epee All-American team and was part of two World Championship medal-winning teams, capturing gold in 2017. As a coach, he has guided national medalists across every age group in USA Fencing and trained National Champions in foil, epee, and sabre.
