Chocolate Tasting with Bibamba
Celebrate the richness of Francophone culture through taste and story with Bibamba, a chocolate venture that connects roots in America and
Africa. Since 2015, Bibamba has been cultivating cacao, coffee, and plantains on farms in Cameroon, blending sustainable farming with
artisanal craft. Their first harvest in 2020 inspired three original dark chocolate bark recipes, perfected in partnership with Colorado
artisans.
As part of the Month of Francophonie, join Patrick Tcheunou, Bibamba’s founder, for an engaging presentation about their journey from farm to chocolate bar, followed by a tasting of their premium, all-natural chocolates made right here in Denver. Afterwards, continue the conversation and enjoy an apéro at the Edgewater Public Market, apéro drinks and bites are on your own, while chocolate tasting is included in the ticket price.
Savor the flavors, celebrate Francophone heritage, and connect with community in one unforgettable evening.
Price: $15 for members, $25 for non-members.
About Bibamba
Bibamba Artisan Chocolate is a Denver-based chocolate company founded by Patrick and Mara Tcheunou, whose work bridges a deep connection between America and Cameroon. A native of Cameroon, Patrick grew up visiting his grandparents’ countryside farm, where cacao, coffee, and other crops were cultivated, but initially pursued a career in chemical engineering before turning to chocolate-making. In 2015, the couple purchased farmland in Cameroon’s Centre Region to grow cacao, inspired by both the region’s unique terroir and the looming global cocoa shortage.
Bibamba is committed to ethical, sustainable practices: the farm employs local community members, ensures fair wages and health coverage, and cultivates a diverse array of crops alongside cacao to enrich the soil and flavor profile. From bean to bar, Bibamba produces premium chocolates in Denver, including dark, milk, and white chocolate barks, handmade bonbons, and Dubai chocolate bars, all crafted transparently and with care.
