A father (Sergi López) and his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco. They are searching for Mar — daughter and
sister — who vanished months ago at one of these endless, sleepless parties. Surrounded by electronic music and a raw, unfamiliar sense of
freedom, they hand out her photo again and again. Hope is fading, but they push through and follow a group of ravers heading to one last
party in the desert. As they venture deeper into the burning wilderness, the journey forces them to confront their own limits.
As part of the Month of Francophonie, the Alliance Française invites you to take part in a French dictation (dictée), a beloved
tradition familiar to generations of students in France and across the Francophone world, featuring an excerpt from Petit Pays by
Gaël Faye, a major voice in contemporary Francophone literature.

legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stéphane Grappelli
Jazz manouche—often called gypsy jazz—originated in France and is closely associated with Reinhardt and Grappelli.
Blending American jazz with Romani musical traditions, the style is known for its driving rhythms, acoustic sound, and spirited
improvisation.
