A2.1 is intended for students who have completed A1.4 or have approximately 100 hours of French study. New to AF Denver? Please take a placement test before registering. At the A2 level, students transition from basic French to expressing themselves more fully and describing the world around them. This course introduces key topics such as shopping, consumption, health, and medicine.

A2.4
A2.4 is designed for students who have completed A2.3. In this course, students will learn how to support causes and stay informed in French. By the end of the session, you'll be able to present a cause you care about and explain your reasoning, as well as discuss current events that matter to you. The course also explores topics such as architecture, cultural and historical landmarks, literature, and travel.

Beginner Conversation A1+/A2
This course is designed to encourage A1.3 to A2.4 level students to converse. If you would like to significantly advance your speaking skills or feel you are lacking confidence in oral expression, this is the class for you. Different topics and authentic documents will be chosen by the instructor each week. Fun activities will be planned including role playing, presentations, discussions, games, etc. There will be a focus on pronunciation and grammar.
No textbook is needed for this class.
Note: if you are not sure of your language level, please take our placement test. Additionally, you may schedule a speaking assessment by contacting the education coordinator at education@afdenver.org.

Beginner Conversation Through Fun and Games
These sessions invite students to interact on unexpected/unknown thematics to allow spontaneity and rapid mind setting. In this course, we will focus on words and interactive games (taboo, guess a who, crosswords, etc.) to use conversational skills and challenge ourselves having fun. This new setting of learning aim to teach differently, in a playful way, to use the foundations learnings in a social setting, to learn with ease, to develop new linguistic competences and confidence, where everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.
